The Launching of United Nigerian Association of New Jersey By Seyi Oduyela
The United Nigerian Association of New Jersey (UNANJ), a non for profit organization is inviting the general public to its fund raising event coming up on Saturday October 18, 2008 at Days Inn Hotel, Bridgewater, New Jersey; starting at 7:00 PM. UNANJ has been contributing immensely to Nigerian Development in Diaspora and back home in Nigeria and currently having a scholarship program in place for Nigerian children and descendants. It has also on many occasions partnered with other organizations like the Nigeria Consulate New York in bringing the services of the Federal Government of Nigeria closer to Nigerians. The Fund Raising will attract people from all walks of life. All its chapter members, families and friends will be in attendance and other eminent Nigerians and Nigerian Associations that are for the cause of Nigerian as a whole will be there as well. Some of the invited guests are: Consular General of New York, Mr. Auwalu Ibrahim, Dr. Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, MFR, Hon. Positive Samson Ihiabe, Kogi State, Federal House of Representatives. Also invited are Hon. Chinyere Igwe, River State, Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Embe, Benue State, and Federal House of Representatives. Hon. Titilayo Oseni, Former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Remi Babalola, Federal Minister of State for Finance, Nigeria and some other eminent Nigerians. Mr. Abdulahi Dauda will be the chairman of the Fund Raising/Launching. Mr. Dauda is the chairman of Zumunta Organization in the United States of America. Side Attraction includes: Food, Music, Oration, Tap dancing and Raffle draw. Nigerian Consulate in New York, U.S.A. will also be present at the event for passport, issuance, renewal and other consulate services.
